This tour takes you to discover flavors , aromas , traditions . It tells you the story of a slice of Western Sicily : Visit places that enrich your cultural luggage starting from the emotional one .
Flavors inherited from the past, made contemporary but also projected towards the future. Uncontaminated places , family traditions , culinary traditions , historical and contemporary art . All accompanied by a enological path , to the rediscovery of forgotten flavors and smells.
These days you are a guest of the Divino Hotel , a few km from both Trapani and Marsala. Here, when you arrive , Giovanna and Giuseppe await you Worship . Good hosts welcome you with an aperitif from welcome , they show you the tour program and guide you in tasting the 4 local wines .
Wine is the star of your second day of tour : at the Florio Cellars, founded in 1833 by Vincenzo Florio and renowned for their Marsala wine, a visit is held guided tour followed by tasting during which all 5 senses come into play .
Following Nino Barraco opens the doors of his Cellar to you, a place where he expresses all his dedication to organic and biodynamic , these are the characteristics of his wines:
- the Grillo;
- the Catarratto;
- the Zibibbo;
- Nero d'Avola;
- the Pignatello .
Cook returns agricultural Nino will hold a cooking - show on cous cous , at the Agriturismo Vultaggio (2,5km away) showing you step by step the realization of the dish.
The third day is Cucchiara family of Salemi that welcomes you to its dairy , the place where it produces the only paste cheese spun : the Vastedda of the Belìce must of the Slow Food Presidia.
After the visit, you can move to San Vito lo Capo , a very popular tourist destination in West Sicily for its white beach and the crystalline sea and seat of the Cous Cous Fest in September .
Visit the historic Salt Pans from Nubia ! The fourth day the Culcasi family guides you among the salt pans.
Then you move to Marsala to visit the Hector Infersa mill and at your choice you can reach the ancient Phoenician city of Mothia in the stagnone on board the pier from Marsala .
In the farmhouse you participate in the cooking - bread and pizza - show made with ancient Sicilian grain flours and held by our master pizza maker Ciccio. Following the extra virgin olive oil tasting led by Giuseppe.

Another lap, another race, the fifth day Marco Sferlazzo awaits you in his day “Porta del Vento” winery in Caporeale in the province of Palermo . He, the wine producer par excellence natural and what has been defined by many as the best Catarratto Sicilian . Immediately afterwards you visit the Cretto di Burri in Gibellina, a work by Landart , built on the rubble following the earthquake of '68.
On board the mini - cruise the sixth day you sail towards Favignana and Levanzo . You have the opportunity to take a dip in the most evocative coves of the islands and also enjoy a typical Sicilian lunch on board .
During your last day of tour you will visit the city of Trapani also known as the city between the two seas. The historic center is home to the cathedral of San Lorenzo and the very famous Church of Purgatory .
With the cable car you reach the medieval village of Erice . On the way up, enjoy a breathtaking view and once you reach the top your gaze rests on the Sicilian channel and the Tyrrhenian Sea; on the extensive plain closed to the east by mountains, including the Sparagio mountain , the Inici mountain and the lonely Cofano promontory.
